Whose Website Is This ?
I am a woman who "had" HCV with children that lost their father to this disease. I was 43 when diagnosed and went onto treating successfully in 2000.(Intron A/Riba).
Only people who have experienced a chronic illness understand the fear and apprehension felt with each step up the ladder, climbing closer to either medical treatment or a possible cure.
These millions of people (I was one of them) now living with chronic hepatitis C or just newly diagnosed are often left out in the cold, alone, with many unanswered questions. Enter the sleepless nights, anxiety, waking each day wondering what to do next. This website and blog is here to help you learn about the progression of this disease, the new drugs to treat HCV along with news and updates. The goal is to keep you current on the potential arrival of new improved Hepatitis C drugs, which for me has turned into a regular research venture.
I only want to stimulate the thought of treating HCV; Using published data, along with a collection of the latest medical news, clinical trial information, reports from recent conferences, news articles, videos/podcasts, Web searches, and links to other related sources on the Web relating to new Hepatitis C therapies.
I'm also now a grandmother who can't wait to show my grandson that bubble gum can be chewed the next morning if placed firmly on Buzz Lightyears face, with a reminder to close his face shield of course.
Wishing you all a safe and successful journey.
